Here are 10 no-cost traffic generation methods you can try:

1. Find forums related to your niche, make relevant and informative posts with your main site in your sig line. Only occasionally reference your site and when it really answers a question.

2. Post to classified sites like Craigslist, Kijiji, iNetGiant, and more.

3. Write and distribute relevant articles and press releases.

4. Use popular social bookmarking sites like digg and del.icio.us to bring targeted visitors.

5. Make comments on related blogs with a link to your site - you can do the same on popular social networking sites like myspace and facebook as well as video sites like YouTube and MetaCafe.

6. Submit your site to be listed in popular directories, NOT automated submitters to FFA sites though.

7. Link exchanges - have a links page to post links to RELATED sites in echange for links to your site from theirs.

8. Traffic exchanges and banner exchanges can be useful, but only if used in some sneakier ways. I teach those sneakier ways in my free traffic course because it would take way too long to try to explain it in a forum post. The idea behind it is to make each visit you get generate about 10 more visits and impressions so that it grows automatically and becomes unstoppable.

9. Create Squidoo lenses, blogs, hubpages, and link them all together so any traffic you get to one or the other can bring more to the rest of the network.

10. Solo email ads. Believe it or not you can get some really good ones for free, just google "free ezine solo ads".

That should give you lots to do, and all of those methods have proven to work.
